My name is Fred E. Hansen.

At the age of 9, I attended my first NAWCC show and was hooked on the hobby. I quickly became an active collector and student of American pocketwatches, and in 1991 became an NAWCC member at the age of 11. My interests grew to include the full range of American pocketwatches with a focus toward the rare, high grade, unusual, and exotic items. My early growth as a collector in these areas was greatly assisted by the kind and patient assistance of many mentors, truly too many to list but a few of the most influential were Fred A. Hansen (my father), Bill Meggers, Jim Hernick, and Ed Kieft.

I have been selling on eBay under the name fhwatch since 2004.

FHwatch.com offers a variety of pocketwatches and related materials. I am always searching for quality items and each year attend about ten NAWCC regional shows and several dozen smaller level watch shows. I am also an active buyer through auctions, estate sales, antique shows, and through a network of personal contacts. If you are interested in selling pocketwatches or related items, whether a single piece or an entire collection, I would like to hear from you and please feel free to contact me anytime at my fred@fhwatch.com email address.

My promise to you, my customer, is an accurate representation of each item that I sell described in the same terms and detail as I would like to have it described for me. Generally watches here are listed in the same mechanical condition as found and may not have been cleaned/oiled for quite some time. It is always a good idea to have a watch freshly cleaned and oiled if you are planning to give it significant use, and then to have this service followed up at regular intervals if the watch is carried often. Unless noted otherwise, running watches on this site can be expected to have a healthy balance motion and to keep reasonable time (within a few minutes a day, though many will do better than this). My goal is my customer’s complete satisfaction, and all items on this site are backed by an unconditional 5 day right of return provided they are received in the same condition as they were sent.

All shipments are through the US Postal Service at actual rate, and all shipments valued at over $100 will be insured at actual USPS rates. Shipments to Illinois addresses will be assessed the appropriate sales tax. All customs forms for International shipment will be filled out fully and accurately. Payment is accepted by check or money order, and Paypal will be accepted from customers in the United States with “Confirmed” status accounts

Thank you for reading and best regards,
